Muslims around the world fast in the month of Ramadan that is starting today with the sighting of the new moon. From dawn to sunset, Muslims abstain from food, drink and all sensual pleasures. Ramadan is a month of praying, doing charitable activities, and spending time with family, friends and community. Ramadan will end on August 29th, with Eid ul-Fitr, the Festival of Fast Breaking.
